A few useful details about how FoodSustain works.

What is FoodSustain?

FoodSustain helps customers discover surplus food offered by participating local food businesses at reduced prices. It aims to help good food find a home, support independent shops and reduce avoidable food waste.

How do I reserve food?

Browse participating businesses and available items in the FoodSustain app, then reserve the items you want through the app.

Do I pay in the app?

No. At launch, FoodSustain is a reservation service. You reserve through the app and pay the participating shop directly when you collect your items.

Where do I collect my reservation?

You collect your reserved items from the participating business shown in the app. Check the shop details and any collection information displayed with your reservation.

Can any food business join?

FoodSustain is intended to work with local food businesses that have suitable surplus food to offer. Businesses interested in joining can visit the For Businesses page and contact FoodSustain.

Does FoodSustain guarantee that every shop has items available?

No. Availability depends on what participating businesses list. Items may change as shops add or sell their surplus stock.

How do I get help with a reservation?

Use the customer-support contact details provided in the FoodSustain app or its app-store listing.
